You get Out-of-Battle resources for completing City or Campaign Missions, but there is a special final mission in the Campaign-Missions for each ability, which you earn Medals and sometimes Wonders. Purple missions are special in that they reward with medals along with an occasional wonder. If you have complete one of them, it will disappears and there comes a harder mission of the current class. If you fulfill more conditions, you'll have a better chance to complete the mission successfully. Example: If there's a Infantry-Mission, you need more commanders with better Infantry Skills. The Ability shows the Focus of the mission. The "Campaign-Missions" are show with a red, inside one of the five Abilities (Infantry, Panzer, Artillery, Navy and Air Force) symbol.City-Missions are repeated tasks, which you can find on the map (yellow city icon).Hire, train, and promote Commanders: If you have a handful of medals, you can spend your collected medals to hire new commanders, train your existing commanders with new perks, and promote them to a higher rank. Here you can hire commanders, buy Resources with Medals and send your commanders into missions. You can send each commander to only one mission at the same time! Missions are the second section on your military career.There are two types of missions: "City-Missions" and "Campaign-Missions". They will do the missions while you play in the Campaigns or Conquests.
